Ymca england & wales works across 688 communities, providing the critical foundations for a fresh, strong start in life. the 375,197 young people we help each year are at the heart of what we do, supported by more than 3,900 members of staff and 1,900 volunteers. Ymca bangladesh @dhaka ymca youth began in 1965 in dhaka. after the country gained independence in 1971, the ymca grew and several local ymcas formed. almost ten years later, in 1974, the national council of ymcas of bangladesh was developed and shortly after became a fully recognised member of the @worldymca in 1977.
