Vulcan Vaquero Cooling Fan Wiring Diagram 65 posts ยท joined 2021. #6 ยท oct 24, 2021. the kams kit will run you about $410 (new), so you might want to just build your own. you can get the parts from the kams kit that are related to tapping into the fan relay (basically the sub harness and a couple of other parts; first link below is for the sub harness) and follow these instructions. The small gang plug at the rear of the relay box has a blue wire with a white stripe. this is the power wire to the fan when the fan relay is triggered by the ecu. this is the wire we will feed power to the fan from the switch. to simplify things i connected a fused link directly to the positive post of the battery with a 10 amp fuse.
Vulcan Vaquero Cooling Fan Wiring Diagram Vaquero voyager aftermarket radio install. thought i'd share a quick video i made showing how installed an aftermarket kenwood media reciever in my vaquero. this is what worked for me, their are 2 different wiring diagrams i have both if anyone needs a copy i used the original one that calls for 5 resistors. by no means is this the easiest diy. I have measured the new replacement radiator fan switch wire leads to be 3.5 inches including the 2 pole plug. it is to be routed from bottom of radiator on a nomad 1600 to a congested wiring area under the attached fan. one cannot see this area nor feel to unhook the 2 pole plug even with the fan guard removed and the rectifier unbolted. From fuse box, fan fuse (20a) and ign fuse (10a) feed the radiator fan relay with a brown red wire (low amp) and a brown green wire (hi amp). from that relay a blue wire goes to the modular plug at the fan motor. the black yellow goes to ground. there is a control wire coming from the ecu (brown white into the relay also that actually triggers. 2011 vaquero, the pretty red kind (and fastest!) 1989 yamaha fj1200 vba #01898.
