Shadowrun, the iconic cyberpunk fantasy rpg, dates back to 1989, making it just slightly younger than i am. in its 30 year history, it has seen 6 editions of the tabletop rules, 40 novels, and 8 video game adaptations. while nowhere near the consumer juggernaut that is dungeons and dragons, shadowrun has a loyal fanbase and a ton to offer.

Shadowrun Returns Dragonfall Review Pc Gamer Shadowrun 6th edition presentation: (8 10) shadowrun’s core rulebook is well organized and conveys its messages with a great deal of clarity. there is some artwork mixed in with the text, which is a great addition. even the font styles chosen for the rulebook brings you, as the reader, into the kind of cyberpunk world the game designers have. Shadowrun was one of the first games i gm’d as an ongoing campaign back when both cyberpunk and shadowrun were shiny and new back in ’89. i’ve gm’d it on and off over the years through all its editions. shadowrun has always had a special place in my heart, there’s a lot of memories and nostalgia tied up in it. Trisgeminus. •. shadowrun is an amazing game, but it depends entirely on your gm. i realize that this is true for any game, but it is more so for shadowrun than, say, d&d 4e. the setting is absolutely amazing, but i'm a huge sucker for cyberpunk. the system is perhaps over complicated. The book is clean, clear and sharp. the text is always legible, the font is easy on the eyes and the sidebars text boxes are distinct and topical. the tos and the index are near perfect. it should not be a surprise, but after some recent experiences with other rpgs, it still is.
