Red Rising By Pierce Brown A Book Review Owlcation 5 reasons this book is amazing. darrow's age: as a reader, i sometimes feel that the age depictions in ya (young adult) fantasies can be overly unrealistic in retrospect to what these characters are achieving. in darrow's case, he is young but hardened by a life of struggle and poverty. being a red, he's had to earn everything he has in his. Light bringer by pierce brown is a peak space opera; it's a perfect sequel and the perfect penultimate entry to the red rising saga. unless you hated the series' previous entry, dark age, then you should absolutely read this book. this book contains: thrilling plot from start to finish. very little science and tons of character moments and plot.

Red rising review. review. for christmas i received all of the red rising saga i finished the first book red rising a few days ago. here are my thoughts. coming into the book i heard that it gave people hunger games vibes, which is fine there is nothing wrong with hunger games. however i wasn't really trying to read hunger games in space. Our review: parents say (14 ): kids say (22 ): red rising is action packed, suspenseful, and frequently clever, a futuristic riff on the count of monte cristo. unfortunately, its better qualities are buried by the melodramatic posturing of its protagonist and by the incessant cruelty of its plot and supporting players.
