National Grief Awareness Week This week it was great to get out and about to dunstable library to spread the word about our bereavement support coffee groups, talking elephants. throughout december neville funerals will be recognising the the good grief trust and supporting national grief awareness week, with the aim of normalising conversations around grief. In commemorating national grief awareness day, we’ve explored diverse pathways to navigate the intricate landscape of grief. from understanding empathy’s power to discovering triumphant stories of resilience, our journey has unveiled tools that empower both individuals and families. On national grief awareness day, we gather to shed light on the profound and often overlooked aspect of the human experience: grief. this day serves as a reminder to normalize and validate the diverse paths of grief, challenging the prevalent silence and misunderstanding in our culture. it’s an opportunity for us to foster empathy, compassion. The event coincides with the uk national grief awareness week (ngaw), run by the brilliant good grief trust. lasting from saturday 2nd to friday 8th december, ngaw 2023 centres on the theme #bettertogether and invites people to organise a coffee morning to build community and spread the word about bereavement services across the uk.
