Mickey Mouse Cake Lil Miss Cakes This cake came out so cute! the two red tiers are moist vanilla cake with chocolate fudge filling. the top tier that resembles a mickey mouse hat is made out of crispy rice cereal treats. the crispy rice treats are lightweight and easy to mold into the exact size and shape i want. carving a cake into a dome shape is a lot more difficult. I baked some cake in a small glass bowl to get the perfect rounded shape. i cut the ears out of fondant and allowed them to dry. then i attached them to lollipop sticks using black royal icing and inserted them into the topper. i used black royal icing to attach the ears to the cake for added support. the fondant bow was also made in advance.
