I Gave Up Trying To Be The Perfect Mom Allmomdoes Being a mom is by far the toughest job i have ever had and one that i still have not mastered after 20 years and four kids. that is a lot of practice with a lot of kids and i am still a work in progress.

i fail more often than i succeed, but am learning to embrace it all as part of the journey.

How To Be Involved In School As A Working Mom Allmomdoes For years, i had visions of the type of mom i would be. calm, quiet, organized, patient, loving, creative i was going to be all those things and much more. then i had kids. and very quickly, i realized i was not at all as patient as i thought i was! :). By stephanie o'farrell feb 2, 2014 | 4:00 pm. a co worker asked me what my weekend plans were going to entail. “oh not much”, i replied. i was lying. my weekend was going to be jammed pack with laundry, kids soccer practice, a kids birthday party, attempting to get my house in order, church…the list goes on. i understand catching up on. 4 you’re stressing your family out. striving for perfection is a hollow goal that can never be reached. when one family member strives for perfection, the whole family suffers. it leads to misunderstandings and can even cause lots of fights. we all want a happy family and i think this is a sound reason to stop trying being a perfect mom. Silence the critic of perfectionism and increase positive self talk in the same way you’d talk to a friend or your child. 3. realize that you’re a mom for life. in the span of a lifetime, your child will have many relationships. being a mother to your child is by far one of the most, if not the most, impactful relationship.

As believers, we have been made perfect in christ. our sins have been erased and we have been made whole in him. you are perfect in his sight. god created you to be exactly as you are – with all your strengths, weaknesses, quirks, and imperfections. he intentionally made you to be the mom that your kids would need.
