Fursuit Fursona Reference Ref Sheet Base Template Free Download First i drew my own character, it wasn’t very good, but it gave an idea of what i wanted. then i got some free drawings from people offering them on this sub. using these drawings as examples, i got an early ref sheet. using this, i made more drawings of my sona and got some more free commissions. For a red sheet, you're gonna want to have the color patterns you want, the species you want, and that's about it. take it to any artist that draws references and commission them. mine was done by neonslushie for something like $50 which is the best price i've ever seen on references. i've never seen a bad example of an actual reference. I was going to make a video of all my tips and tricks on how to make a perfect reference sheet for fursuit makers and i wrote my script out and everything. Do not shade a ref sheet. point out any details that are important or necessary, either by drawing a close up, or via a text label. many artists will ignore supplemental info and just look at the ref sheet. you want to make sure all the vital info is on the ref itself. be prepared to update this as time goes on, as you see patterns in artists.
