Future work in this area should continue to monitor these trends as the economy moves into a post pandemic world, with changing demand and supply conditions for different types of workers. on the demand side, this is especially important as technology continues to evolve, and the resulting job transformation requires workers, firms and policy makers to think about the need for adaptive strategies. The future of work was shifting even before covid 19 upended lives and livelihoods. but the pandemic accelerated three broad trends that will continue to reshape work as the effects of the crisis recede: remote work and virtual meetings are likely to continue, although less intensely than at the pandemic’s peak. In the wake of covid 19, including unemployment, mental illness, and addiction; and, (3) the importance of moderating factors (e.g., age, race and ethnicity, gender, personality, family status, and culture) for which there are likely to be disparate covid 19 impacts.

By extracting and gathering information from each group, it was possible to understand what has been published about the impact of covid‐19 on work and workers (see section 3.2). the results revealed research gaps and led to a discussion on how organizations can adapt work to protect workers amid the covid‐19 pandemic.
