I decided to kick the new year off by recording a tune request that came my way from mike buesseler. this lovely little waltz was composed by the great scottish accordionist phil cunningham. it features a 1917 gibson a 4 mandolin, pomeroy mandola, lachenal concertina, and a bit of guitar. Built in 1917 in kalamazoo, this a 4 was the top offering of a style mandolin offered by gibson at the time. it retains the original handel tuners, (likely) original case, and a wonderful sound. there is some separation at the top of the back (see photos) that could be addressed. plays and functions well as is. overall nice cosmetic condition.
