As for hampton's book, there's a reason it's confusing. if i recall, he says in the beginning you need a grounding in some basic knowledge to make much sense of the book. in other words, until you understand how to manipulate and represent forms in 3d, you're going to struggle with the complex forms of the human body. I found that the best way to learn with it is by studying his examples first (really take your time with this!!) and trying to understand why he chose to make each line and then apply that to other poses references, first while looking at his drawings and then from memory. 2. reply. award. automoderator.
