Draw a few curved rectangle oval shapes around edge of your bubble. this will be one of your “chunky” highlights. make sure you keep them on the edges and not on the inside of your bubbles. 3. shade in each shape with your white color pencil. 4. pick one of your bubble colors to blend on top of your white shapes. Step 2: add gradient and highlights. to create the illusion of depth and transparency, shade the bubble using a gradient technique. start by coloring the bubble with a light base color, leaving a highlight area untouched. then, gradually darken the color as you move towards the edges. use a blending tool, such as a cotton swab or a blending. Step 3: adding colored shapes in the bubble. this is where we can start to draw thicker shapes within the bubble, the idea is to draw elongated triangular shapes that flow along the curvature of the bubble. we also want to make sure that they are slightly spaced from the previously drawn colored lines.
