Does Someone Have A List Of All The 996 Coolant Hoses Rennlist Could you please help in providing a link to a coolant hose layout for a 2003 996 carrera 2 3.6. my workshop cd only has the turbo diag for some reason. i am trying to find the source of a coolant leak. it's somewhere at the front of the engine (behind passenger seat rhd uk model) and fairly high. Does Someone Have A List Of All The 996 Coolant Hosesођ There is a lot less clearance with the tip, and more coolant hoses to deal with. if you are going in from the top it might be easier. you can also safely lower the engine down an inch to get more clearance by slightly loosening the engine mount bolts from the engine mounts. there is plenty of thread there, but don't loosen them off too much!. I believe the procedure should be the same for all models except for the belly pan removal needed for the s4s. in summary, the procedures includes removal of the bellypans, draining of the engine block, draining of the radiator, coolant mixing and refilling. tools materials i used include: 8mm and 13mm socket,. There are 27 different hoses in the 996 coolant system, any that haven’t been replaced are 20 years old. there are also lots of bad experiences with non oem expansion tanks. water pumps are also frequently suspect, some recommend changing them @ 60k miles. there is a r 996 that has some good contributors and rennlist is a must read.
