Dodge Intrepid Wiring 1. slide the fan down behind (in between the radiator and the engine) the radiator. 2. if the shroud fits (it will be snug) in between the side tanks of the radiator, you are done. if not, keep reading. 3. identify what part of the fan is hitting the radiator (usually going to be the 4 original mounting tabs) 4. I bought a 1998 dodge intrepid e fan for $20.00 and mounted it in a 2003 s10 with 4.3,fit perfect. to wire it the 2 black wires go to body ground,the yellow(tan)wire is low speed for both fans,the green wire is high speed for both fans.i have a hayden controller hooked up to low speed and ac with 40 amp relay and 30 amp fuse(the 25 amp hayden fuse will blow but the 30 amp will not).the high. The rest is simple. i'll use the pin #s from the iso 5 pin relay relay 1: wire 86 to switched 12 v, 85 to temp switch 1 (180) 30 to 12v un switched and 87 to the low speed wire(s) on the fan(s). relay 2: wire 86 to switched 12 v, 85 to temp switch 2 (210) 30 to 12v un switched and 87 to the hi speed wire(s) on the fan(s). ground both fans. Re: electric cooling fan problem. the lead that suppose to be connected to an ignition source is conneceted to the choke wire . has power when ignition on and no power when ignition is off. the fans turn off when key is off or it can be wired to run for awhile when car is off. i just went out there this morning when it was cold ,put the fuse.
