Civil 3d Reminders Custom Daylight Bench Subassembly The swale or ditch is required to have a minimum slope of 5%. while not applicable in flat areas, it is required in the hilly portions of the world. in order to solve this issue i come across every once in a while; i decided to create a custom subassembly that targets a profile to be able to create the minimum slope of the swale. One can create a custom subassembly to automate this process. the way i solved it was by creating two profile targets, because civil 3d sucks and won’t allow us users to grab elevation data from a horizontal target. i started with a slope direction factor so i can figure out which way it the subassembly needs to build.
Civil 3d Reminders Custom Bench Subassembly You cannot use negative values in the conditional sub, they will be ignored. you will need to change your shallow ditch cut test to 0 3.35 and another fill test from 0 1.67 both of these would use the same ditch and daylight. you could replace the sideditch sub with two generic linkwidthandslope subs. Fixed top elevation: make input parameter (double) of this defined elevation value. when you need a point at this elevation, define the point's delta y using the input parameter variable and any of the previous point's elevation (ex. elevation of point p1 is p1.elev).
