Browning Blr 308 At 200 yards it has a foot of drop where 308 only has 4 inches. also, most hunting bullets begin to lose their ability to fully expand when they drop below 2,000fps. the 45 70 drops below that number before it even makes it to 100 yards. a 150gr 308 bullet is still moving at just shy of 2,000fps at 300 yards.
