The high resolution xps spectrum of o 1s core level (fig. 3 b) is deconvoluted into three peaks. the major peak at the lowest be of 529.8 ev is associated with the co o bonding in the co 3 o 4 phase [27], [28]. the high resolution xps spectrum of co 2p core level is presented in fig. 3 c. two main peaks are observed at bes of 794.7 and 779.7 ev.
