A c issue with 2016 honda civic. i’m getting pretty fed up with a continuous issue with this a c system that seemingly runs out of refrigerant every other year. i have been to the dealership to be told they put dye in the system but aren’t detecting any large leak and refilled the refrigerant. but, i have heard of folks going to dealerships.

Honda civic 2016 lx. may 29, 2020. thread starter. #1. hey guys, i found out that the a c on my civic 2016 is not working, only getting regular air from the fans. it was just working fine last summer. i popped the hood and looked at the a c clutch, it is not spinning at all. i am going to order a new a c relay and replace. The ac system does need to be properly diagnosed and to do that a technician needs to do it honestly. the cans and kits for diy only hookup to the low side fitting. to accurately diagnose ac you need to view pressure on high and low sides. that being said it does sound like a blockage of some kind. The resting (static, ac off) low side pressure of the system would be around 50 70 while the normal running ac pressure would be around 30 psi. so if the compressor is not running, then 50 psi is normal. however if the compressor is running and the system is low on refrigerant or has some other fault, it may be around 50 psi.
