[not sure on your model] it could be faulty or there is usually a separate fuse for the fan.
For 2010 To 2011 Kia Soul 1 6l Factory Style Radiator Cooling Fanођ Intermittent problems would be indicative of a bad ground loose wire. something could have shorted or only making enough contact that it works sometimes. you say you check fuses, but these micro blades are hard (for me) to tell sometimes if they are blown or not. fuses are cheap. It is easy to test a relay. pins 85 and 86 are the solenoid and pins 30 and 87 are the power. so 30 and 87 should be open and when you put power and ground to solenoid pins 85 and 86 then 30 and 87 will be closed. reply like. this is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. 2012 soul radiator fan replacement. hey all, my '12 soul keeps popping the fan fuse. the fan cycles on and off correctly until the fuse pops but it seems to be drawing a lot of power. i'm guessing the motor is shot, and i figure at 12 years old, it's due for replacement. i have a source for an oem bosch motor and thought i'd swap it out. Issue with the coolant temperature sensor. obstructed fan blades. if the fan is running all the time: faulty coolant temperature sensor. stuck fan relay. issue with the fan control module or wiring. if the fan is rattling or making too much noise: worn radiator fan motor or motor bearings. debris in the fan blades.
