2004 Vw Passat 1 8t Cooling System Diagram The spurting into the reservoir indicates exhaust gasses entering the cooling system. i suspect you have a cracked head or leaking head gasket. bleeding the cooling system 2.8 and 1.8. 2.8 & 1.8 the cooling system should be bled any time the water in the reservoir has been very low or the system has been opened (other than the filler cap). Use vag 1274 cooling system tester with vag 1274 8 and vag 1274 9 adapters to test coolant system for proper seal cooling system components (on body) page 19 3 . cooling system components (on engine) page 19 7 . coolant hose connection diagram page 19 15 . draining and refilling coolant page 19 16 .
1 8 Turbo Engine Diagram I've replaced the coolant flanges on two 1.8t's a 1999 passat aeb and a 2002 audi a4 amb. both of them were a royal pain to do. i do recall that the o ring on the 99 passat between the flange and the block had basically turned to mush and needed replacing. the o ring on the coolant sensors for both flanges were definitely bad. You have interpreted this incorrectly, the thermostat blocks the flow between the bottom radiator hose and the bypass, and has very little, if any effect on the flow through the heater core. the only things at all likely to effect the flow through the heater core are: 1: clogged core. 2: kinked heater hose. G12 coolant system (all hoses)awv awp 1.8t. i have searched high and low online. have no access to bentley manual just my knowledge from hands on experience. i need schematics for coolant water line for the awv awp 1.8t in the 2003 beetle with ac deleted. i am in the end stages of a full tear down and rebuild, i have all new silicone water.
