Seasonвђ S Greetings Red Squirrel In Falling Snow в Wil It’s that time of year again (it comes round so quickly these days!) so i thought i might post a series of seaonal themed images. here’s one of a red squirrel in falling snow taken a few years ago on a winter photography trip to scotland. True, their main source of nutrition comes from some nuts and the seeds from pine cones. but, by definition, red squirrels are omnivores, and their diets extend to include flowers, berries, mushrooms, bugs, mice, eggs, and small birds. red squirrels have a firm grasp on food storage. using tree cavities, underbrush piles, or dens as their own.
